This website and platform is owned and operated as DrivingSchoolSoftware.com by DanubeNet, Inc. (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in New Jersey with company registration numbe and having its registered address at 1200 Rt 22 East Suite 2000, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 .

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which DrivingSchoolSoftware.com collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information in connection with the drivingschoolsoftware.com website and the DrivingSchoolSoftware.com mobile application, or white-label mobile applications built on DrivingSchoolSoftware.com's core platform (together, the "Site" and the "App," and collectively our "Services"). References in this policy to the "Site" apply equally to the App.

Our role: service provider to driving school clients

DrivingSchoolSoftware.com provides software that driving schools ("Clients") use to manage their own students, instructors, vehicles, scheduling, and payments. With respect to the personal information of a Client's students, parents, guardians, and instructors, DrivingSchoolSoftware.com acts strictly as a service provider / data processor on behalf of that Client, not as the party that decides why or how the information is used.

This means:

Each driving school Client determines what information is collected. The specific data fields collected from students, parents, guardians, or instructors are configured and controlled by the Client, not by DrivingSchoolSoftware.com.
Information is stored in a dedicated database maintained separately for each Client. Client data is not pooled, combined, or shared across different driving schools' databases.
We use collected information only for transactional purposes on the Client's behalf — that is, to provide the specific scheduling, payment, communication, licensing, and record-keeping functions the Client's students and instructors interact with through our Services. We do not use this information to operate the Site generally, to improve our customer service, to personalize user experience, or to improve our products, and we do not use it for our own independent purposes.
We do not provide support to a Client's students, parents, or the public. Driving school Clients handle all support and communication with their own students and the public directly. DrivingSchoolSoftware.com does not interact with a Client's students or the public for support purposes, and does not use collected information to provide customer support on a Client's behalf.
Questions about what a specific school collects, why, or how it's used should be directed to that driving school, as described further below.

Personal identification information

Personal identification information processed through our Services — such as name, email address, phone number, or other fields a Client has configured — is collected on behalf of, and at the direction of, the driving school Client operating the account. Users may be asked to provide this information when registering with a Client's driving school, booking lessons, or completing related activities through our Services.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about visitors to our own corporate website (drivingschoolsoftware.com), such as browser name, device type, and technical information about a visitor's means of connection, including operating system and internet service provider. This is distinct from the transactional data described above and relates only to visits to our marketing site.

Web browser cookies

Our corporate website may use "cookies" to support basic site functionality. A User's web browser places cookies on their device for record-keeping purposes. Users may set their browser to refuse cookies or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How information is used

Information collected through our Services on behalf of a driving school Client is used only for transactional purposes necessary to deliver the specific functions the Client has configured, such as:

Scheduling and managing driving lessons and appointments
Processing payments for lessons or services
Sending transactional communications (such as appointment confirmations, reminders, or licensing-related notices) on the Client's behalf
Maintaining student, instructor, and vehicle records the Client needs to operate its business
Supporting state-required licensing and compliance record-keeping, where applicable

We do not use this information to operate our Site generally, to improve our own customer service, to personalize user experience, to improve our products, or for our own marketing or promotional purposes.

The information we collect

Because each driving school Client determines what information it collects, the specific data fields vary by Client. Categories of information that may be collected, at a Client's direction, include:

Student, parent/guardian, or instructor name and contact details (such as email address and/or telephone number)
Information about the Client's business operations, including hours, pricing, availability, and instructor headcount
Information about vehicles, including registration number, make, and model
Payment information necessary to process transactions. We do not store credit card numbers or other card data ourselves — payment is processed and stored directly by our third-party payment processors

How we protect your information

Client data is stored in a dedicated database per Client, on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services infrastructure, both of which comply with regulatory standards including PCI and HIPAA. Data is encrypted with 256-bit symmetric keys.

We do not store credit card numbers or other card data on our own systems. Payment processing is handled directly by our third-party payment processors — Stripe, Square, and Authorize.net — each of which is PCI-DSS compliant. Card data is transmitted directly to and stored by these processors, not by DrivingSchoolSoftware.com.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices, and reasonable security measures, to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information stored on our Services.

Sharing information

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information to others, and we do not combine or share one Client's data with another Client. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

With service providers and processors who perform functions on our behalf, such as our cloud hosting providers (Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services) and our payment processors (Stripe, Square, and Authorize.net), and only to the extent necessary to provide our Services. We do not receive or store full card data from these processors.
Between a Client's own students, instructors, and staff, as necessary to arrange and manage lessons, scheduling, and related services booked through our Services.
Where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request by a public authority.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify affected Clients.

We do not share information with third parties for our own or any third party's independent marketing purposes.

Electronic newsletters

Driving school Clients (i.e., the businesses using our Services, not their individual students) may opt in to receive emails from us about company news, product updates, and related information. Clients may unsubscribe at any time via the instructions included in each email.

Third-party websites

Our Site may contain links to the sites and services of partners, suppliers, and other third parties. We do not control the content or links on these sites and are not responsible for their practices. These sites may have their own privacy policies, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Data retention

We retain information processed on a Client's behalf only for as long as necessary to provide our Services to that Client, in accordance with the Client's instructions and our agreement with the Client, and to comply with applicable legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations. Retention and deletion timing for a specific Client's data is generally governed by our agreement with that Client.

Your data protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including:

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; the right to request deletion; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others as applicable): similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing, as provided under the applicable state law.
Canadian residents (PIPEDA and applicable provincial law): the right to access personal information held about you, the right to challenge its accuracy, and the right to withdraw consent to its collection, use, or disclosure, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Because DrivingSchoolSoftware.com acts as a service provider to driving school Clients and does not control why or how a Client's data is used, please direct any request to exercise these rights to your driving school directly. Your driving school, as the party that determines what information is collected and how it is used, is responsible for responding to your request. We will support a Client in fulfilling such requests, or act on a request submitted to us directly by the Client, as described below.

How to delete your data and your account

The personal information collected through our Services on behalf of a driving school Client belongs to, and is controlled by, that driving school — not DrivingSchoolSoftware.com. Because of this, we are not able to act on deletion requests submitted directly by students, parents, guardians, or instructors — deletion requests must be submitted to us by the driving school Client itself.

If you are a student, parent, guardian, or instructor and would like your personal information deleted, please contact your driving school directly. Your driving school can submit a deletion request to us on your behalf, and we will act on that request within a reasonable period, except for information we are required to retain to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

If you are a driving school administrator, you may request deletion of your Client account's data, or of a specific student's or instructor's record, by emailing us at privacy@drivingschoolsoftware.com with the subject line "Privacy notice — account deletion request," or through your account settings in the App where available.

Student privacy

Our Services are used by driving school students, most of whom are teenage learner drivers, across our operating states. Our Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it as soon as possible.

For student Users age 13 and older, we design our data practices around the student-privacy framework first established by California's Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA), which more than 20 states have since adopted in similar form. Consistent with this framework, and consistent with our role as a service provider acting only for transactional purposes on a Client's behalf, we do not:

use student personal information for targeted advertising,
build a non-educational profile of a student using their information,
sell student personal information, or
disclose student personal information except as necessary to operate our Services for the Client (such as with the student's driving school or instructor), to a service provider under contract, or as otherwise required by law.

Certain states — including California, Illinois, New York, Colorado, and Connecticut, among others — impose additional requirements on education technology vendors, such as written data privacy agreements with schools, breach notification timelines, or public disclosure of data practices. Where a driving school Client is subject to such requirements, we work with that Client to meet its obligations, including executing a data privacy agreement where required.

Student accounts are created and managed by the driving school Client, or by a parent or guardian in connection with the Client. If you are a parent or guardian with questions about a student's personal information, please contact the student's driving school directly, as the driving school controls that data. See "How to delete your data and your account" above for how these requests are handled.

Changes to this privacy policy

DrivingSchoolSoftware.com may update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site, revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, notify Clients by email. We encourage Users to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
